Training of Trainers Course

INTRODUCTION

Whether training is your job or is something you do occasionally, this very practical Training of Trainers will build on your existing skills and increase your confidence to train any audience. The TOT engages participants in a comprehensive, multi-day distributive learning process that builds the knowledge and skills required to effectively train educators to deliver.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of course participants should be able to:

o   Learn the basics of adult learning theory and instructional design methodology;

o   Gain a foundation in carrying out Training Needs Analysis; developing learning objectives and evaluating the impact of training initiatives;

o   Learn and apply effective training/facilitation techniques for managing participants, engaging a variety of learning styles and creating an effective positive learning environment;

o   Manage training/facilitation challenges;

o   Obtain certain tools/techniques to assist with training and delivery.

The course targets trainers in the field of training needing to further develop their competences, in order to support their personal and professional development as trainers. Target audience are Faculty members of Training Institutions, Trainers and Training Staff from, in-house centres, Institutions and individuals interested in training and consultancy.

o   How to do a Training Needs Assessment (TNA): Concept and tools

o   Defining objectives and course structure- Setting up the evaluation system (satisfaction, learning, transfer and impact)

Supporting transfer and integration

o   A coaching approach: training / mentoring / coaching

o   Challenges and opportunities of transferring and embedding learning

o   Tools, techniques and skills for supporting trainees

o   Basic coaching model

Practicing the model

  • Plan of action, implementation and support

Training Approach

This course will be delivered by our skilled trainers who have vast knowledge and experience as expert professionals in the fields. The course is taught in English and through a mix of theory, practical activities, group discussion and case studies. Course manuals and additional training materials will be provided to the participants upon completion of the training.

Training Venue

The training will be held at our StepUp Skills Training Centre. We also offer training for a group at requested location all over the world. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and buffet lunch.

Visa application, travel expenses, airport transfers, dinners, accommodation, insurance, and other personal expenses are catered by the participant

Certification

Participants will be issued with StepUp Skills certificate upon completion of this course.
